Wastewater project complete for Quinns Rocks

Residents of Quinns Rocks will benefit from the completion of infill sewerage connections of 908 residential lots to the central wastewater system.

Since 2001, around $9.9million has been invested by the WA State Government in infill sewerage projects throughout Quinns Rocks.

Peter Katsambanis, Liberal Member for North Metropolitan Region, said the final stage was completed in late March at a cost of $4.1million and allows the final 270 residential lots to connect to the central wastewater system.

“This is a great social and environmental outcome for the local community because it ends the reliance on septic tanks and leach drains,” Mr Katsambanis said.

“Wastewater from the final remaining lots can now be carried direct through a system of buried pipes and pump stations to a central treatment plant for safe processing and disposal.”

“I know the Quinns Rocks community has been very patient during the various stages of construction of these important projects.  I welcome their patience and hope the completion of this project will increase residential amenity for local residents.” Mr Katsambanis concluded.
